Livestock production activities in the province are maintained stably.

Since the beginning of the year, livestock production activities in the province have basically remained stable, and animal feed prices have tended to decrease. Total output of fresh meat of all kinds reached 294 thousand tons, up 3.5%, of which the output of fresh pork for slaughter reached 212 thousand tons, up 3.1% over the same period in 2024.

The livestock breed structure has shifted strongly towards increasing the proportion of livestock with high productivity and quality and specialty breeds suitable to consumer tastes; in addition to some key livestock, in the province there are some other livestock types that are receiving attention from people for investment and development with high economic efficiency, such as: swiftlets with 52 breeding facilities; honeybees with over 700 breeding facilities...

Disease prevention and control work has always received special attention from all levels and sectors. We continue to proactively, resolutely, synchronously and flexibly implement measures to prevent, combat and control livestock and poultry diseases, along with guidance on biosafety farming techniques to ensure disease safety.

Therefore, the epidemic in buffalo, cow and poultry herds has been well controlled. African swine fever has recurred since April but timely and synchronous measures have been deployed to effectively control it, minimizing the risk of spreading and damage caused by the epidemic.
