Applications for Bulgarian government scholarships are open until mid-March.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Bulgarian government will grant 5 undergraduate and master's scholarships to Vietnamese citizens in 2025.

The Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training , has just announced the recruitment for the Bulgarian government scholarship in 2025.

Accordingly, this country offers Vietnamese citizens 5 scholarships for undergraduate or master's degree programs, 5 doctoral scholarships, 2 scholarships for postgraduate internships or scientific research (3-9 months), and 2 scholarships for language internships (6 months - 1 year).

Applicants are eligible to apply for programs offered at public higher education institutions in Bulgaria.

Each scholarship only allows applicants to register for one major and they are not permitted to change their major or institution after being accepted.

The Bulgarian government completely waives tuition fees for international students, provides health insurance, arranges accommodation in dormitories, and offers an initial allowance to new students.

The Vietnamese government provides one-way and return air tickets, passport and visa fees, travel expenses, and a living allowance in accordance with current regulations.

Applicants for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral scholarships who do not yet know Bulgarian will be arranged to take preparatory language courses before beginning their studies.

Eligible applicants for university scholarships include first-year full-time students; and high school students in grade 12 who have won medals in international Olympic competitions or achieved third place or higher in national-level excellent student competitions, national-level science and technology competitions.

In addition, applicants must have achieved a GPA of 7.0 or higher in high school up to the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, and must have been accepted into university in 2025 when completing the enrollment procedures.

Eligible applicants for the master's scholarship are civil servants, public employees, and full-time lecturers under 35 years of age (as of June 30th), with a university degree of at least "good" or higher; and university graduates between January 1st, 2024 and June 30th with excellent academic results in Bulgaria or good results in Vietnam and other countries, who commit to returning to their home country to work for the government after completing the course.

The Department of International Cooperation will accept applications until March 15th.
