According to statistics from high-quality junior high schools in Hanoi , Cau Giay Junior High School has 165 students admitted to specialized programs at Hanoi Pedagogical University. Archimedes Academy Junior High School ranks second with 120 students.
The Dong Anh campus of this school has added 36 more students, bringing the total number of students in the entire Archimedes system who passed the entrance exam for specialized teacher training programs to 156.
Hanoi Star School announced that 57 students have been admitted. Foreign Language Secondary School has 35 admitted students. Tran Duy Hung Secondary School has 15 admitted students.
Thus, in these six junior high schools alone, the number of students admitted has reached 393.
Meanwhile, the enrollment target for 10th grade in 2025 at the High School for Gifted Students affiliated with the University of Education is only 420.
Therefore, only around 30 spots remain available for other secondary schools.

Notably, some "top" schools have not yet announced the number of students admitted to specialized teacher training programs, such as Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School, Doan Thi Diem Secondary School, Nam Tu Liem Secondary School, Thanh Xuan Secondary School, Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School, and Trung Vuong Secondary School.
The High School for Gifted Students affiliated with Hanoi University of Education recruits students nationwide. However, the list of admitted students shows that the chances for students from provinces outside Hanoi are very low. In recent years, students from a few high-quality schools in Hanoi have almost "monopolized" the competition for specialized schools.
At Cau Giay Secondary School alone, in addition to 165 students who passed the entrance exam for teacher training programs, there were also 74 students who passed the entrance exam for foreign language programs and 96 students who passed the entrance exam for natural science programs .
Archimedes Academy also had 281 students admitted to specialized programs, including 104 admitted to natural science programs and 57 admitted to foreign language programs.
Currently, among the specialized high schools affiliated with universities, only the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities has not yet announced the entrance exam scores and cutoff points for grade 10.
