At the talk show "Smart Pathways After High School Graduation" held on the afternoon of May 26th, Ms. Vo Thanh Huong, Head of Admissions and Communications at Ho Chi Minh City International College (ICH), shared breakthrough opportunities for graduating high school students. According to Ms. Huong, students can absolutely study or work in demanding markets such as Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Taiwan (China) if they prepare well in foreign languages.
The "zero-cost" route to Taiwan (China)
Most notably, the INTENSE scholarship offers 100% tuition fee waiver for students studying at the college who wish to transfer to an international university in almost all majors, especially Semiconductor Technology. Students will study for two years at the International College of Ho Chi Minh City, while also learning Traditional Chinese to achieve TOCFL A2 level before transferring to Taiwan.
According to the program, students study their major for the first two years in Vietnam, while also learning Traditional Chinese. Upon achieving TOCFL A2 level proficiency, students can transfer to a university in Taiwan (China) with full funding from the Taiwanese government , universities, and partner businesses.
In particular, this program offers extremely favorable support policies: students only pay 30% of the tuition fee for the Chinese language course at the college, and if they pass the interview, the tuition fee will be refunded; students studying in Taiwan receive 100% free tuition, 100% free dormitory accommodation, and a living allowance of over 22.5 million VND/month. After graduation, students are offered employment in Taiwan for two years by a company, after which they can flexibly choose to return home or continue studying or working long-term.

Ms. Vo Thanh Huong shared that after graduation, students can choose to stay and work for at least two years at the company or return to Vietnam to develop their careers.
According to Ms. Vo Thanh Huong, the program's distinguishing feature is the MOU agreements between schools, which increase interview opportunities and reduce transfer risks. ICH also encourages students to learn a second foreign language, especially traditional Chinese, to gain a competitive advantage.
Not only Taiwan (China), but also markets like Japan and Germany are experiencing a shortage of nursing staff. Students who acquire Japanese or German language skills can easily access job opportunities in these countries with high recruitment demand. Ms. Huong emphasized: "With good foreign language skills, students can participate in many different international labor markets that are increasingly expanding their connections with Vietnam."
"Reserve your spot" early before the fierce competition.
Besides opportunities, this year's college admissions market is considered more competitive. Candidates are competing not only with their peers but also with over 63,000 independent candidates and a large number of candidates from previous years returning to apply for "hot" majors. According to Ms. Huong, candidates need to "reserve their spots" early to avoid running out of slots, and at the same time choose majors that match their abilities and interests.
In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), choosing a major requires consideration of long-term adaptability. Candidates should prioritize fields that are less likely to be replaced by technology, while also aligning with their abilities and personal goals. College-level programs are considered an optimal choice due to their shorter study duration, lower costs, and quick access to the job market.

The school provides a list of partner companies for each industry to help students clearly define their career paths from the outset. In the service and tourism sector, students can intern at many large hotel chains such as Marriott, Novotel Saigon Center, La Vela Saigon Hotel, etc.
In the beauty care industry, the school has an affiliated International Beauty Center, connecting with many spas and businesses in the industry. Students receive practical training and experience, and have the opportunity to be employed immediately after graduation. Ho Chi Minh City International College currently accepts applications based on academic transcripts and online, with no fees and quick feedback via email within about a week.
