On July 26, the Military Technical Academy announced the adjustment of the input quality assurance threshold (floor score) for semiconductor training programs for the civilian university training system in 2025.
Accordingly, the admission requirements for the two majors of Microchip Design and Embedded Systems, Semiconductor and Nanotechnology are 21.35 points and candidates need to achieve a score of 6.25 or higher in Math. The threshold score to ensure input quality includes bonus points for incentives, bonus points for priority regions and priority subjects (if any).

Previously, the floor score for these two training majors was announced at 22.50 points, with the Math score being 6.20 or higher. Thus, the floor score was reduced by 1.15 points, and the Math subject increased by 0.05 points.
Regarding enrollment in semiconductor training programs, the Ministry of Education and Training has decided to amend the semiconductor training program standards, removing the requirement that the Math subject must have a score of 8 or higher.
In 2025, the Military Technical Academy will recruit 600 civilian students for university training in 8 majors. The admission combination is A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and A01 (Math, Physics, English).
