The 2024 National Press Conference brings together 100 participating press agencies.

The 2024 National Press Festival is chaired by the Vietnam Journalists Association, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and organized in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Information and Communications , Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovating for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and People".

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that the 2024 National Press Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovating for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and People" will be a highlight of the professionalism and modernity of the press; clearly demonstrating the quality and scale of professional activities, exhibitions and displays as well as unique cultural and artistic programs. This is also a major event of the press nationwide to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the glorious journey of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, highlighting the great achievements and strong development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Activities in the Press Festival will also help promote press products associated with the work and creativity of journalists nationwide.

The Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association also said that the 2024 National Press Festival will take place over three days, from March 15 to 17 in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering more than 100 central and local press agencies, and all levels of the Vietnam Journalists Association in 63 provinces and cities across the country. This year, the Press Festival has areas including: An exhibition area on the history of Vietnamese journalism; 8 special exhibition booths of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam , Vietnam News Agency, Military Press Bloc, Public Security Press Bloc, Government Electronic Information Portal, National Assembly Office; 112 special press exhibition booths of newspapers and magazines from popular to specialized, covering all aspects of economic - political - cultural - social - defense - security - foreign affairs.

In parallel with the traditional exhibition and display activities, the 2024 National Press Festival will organize for the first time the National Press Forum with large-scale professional activities, with the participation of more than 60 speakers who are experienced journalists, leaders of leading press agencies in Vietnam, prestigious international media experts... The National Press Forum will be a high-quality professional activity with 10 discussion sessions on hot topics of interest to the press community such as: Enhancing Party spirit and orientation in press activities; Building a cultural press environment; Data journalism and outstanding content strategy; Investing and effectively applying technology in newsrooms; Competitiveness of television in the AI era; Investigative reporting - The journey to do useful things; Effective cooperation model between press, businesses and advertising agencies...

On the other hand, the 2024 National Press Festival will also bring to the public, members and journalists many rich and attractive professional and cultural events such as: The 2nd Journalists & Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament; awarding prizes such as: Beautiful Tet newspaper covers, beautiful press exhibition booths, impressive TV programs...
