Accordingly, the Spring Press Festival is organized to celebrate major national and capital city holidays in 2024-2025: the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025)...

At the same time, we will promote and encourage all levels, sectors, cadres, Party members, and the people to enthusiastically compete in labor, study, and creativity, working together to successfully implement the 13th National Resolution of the Party and the 17th Resolution of the Hanoi City Party Committee.

The Spring Press Festival is a traditional political and cultural activity of the capital's press community; central and Hanoi-based press agencies exchange professional knowledge and gather opinions and feedback from the press public and television viewers.

The Spring Press Festival will showcase press publications to serve the people and readers of Hanoi during the traditional Lunar New Year; at the same time, it will encourage Hanoi's press and central press agencies and ministries to continue promoting the development achievements of the capital and the whole country in the fields of: politics-economy, culture-society, security-defense, foreign affairs…

In addition to the exhibition and professional exchange between press agencies, the event also included the awarding of the Ngo Tat To Journalism Prize 2023. The organizing committee also judged the booths and publications of Spring and Tet newspapers serving the public and interacted with readers and television viewers.

The organizing committee will reward units that actively participate in the exhibition booths at the Spring Press Festival 2024; and will also award prizes for "Best articles about Hanoi" published in Spring and Tet newspapers, beautiful newspaper covers, and beautiful exhibition booths.

The Spring Festival newspaper publications were presented by the Organizing Committee to the Border Guard Command to serve soldiers on duty protecting the border and islands, and to prepare for display at the National Press Conference held in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2024.
