Quang Tri fellow countrymen association in Ho Chi Minh City met at the beginning of the spring of At Ty.

This morning, February 16th, the Quang Tri Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City held a New Year's gathering for the Year of the Snake 2025. Attending the event were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ha Sy Dong; the Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Truong Duc Minh Tu; representatives of Quang Tri Hometown Associations in neighboring provinces; and a large number of Quang Tri residents living, working, and studying in Ho Chi Minh City.

Building on the tradition of solidarity, sharing, and mutual support of their homeland, in 2024, the Quang Tri Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City brought together and connected a large number of people from the homeland to participate in activities, while also organizing many meaningful events.

In particular, nearly 10 billion VND was mobilized to organize activities to encourage and support people from Quang Tri province living in Ho Chi Minh City who are facing difficulties and hardships, giving them better opportunities to improve their lives and studies. Along with that, many activities focused on their homeland were organized, such as awarding scholarships to poor students, providing livelihood and housing support for the poor, and activities expressing gratitude and remembrance of their roots.

In 2025, the Quang Tri Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to promote its activities. These will focus on reviving the traditions of their homeland, encouraging and supporting each other so that all Quang Tri people living far from home can have increasingly better lives. They will contribute to their homeland through many practical and effective activities, especially supporting disadvantaged students to excel in their studies, and working together to eliminate dilapidated and substandard housing.

According to Dao Xuan Thong, Head of the Liaison Committee of the Quang Tri Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City, there are currently about 160,000 people from Quang Tri living, studying, and working in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite living far from home, each with their own work and circumstances, everyone always looks towards their homeland, the land of the Lao wind and white sand, and rejoices at the changes the province has undergone in recent years. They believe that their homeland will continue to make breakthroughs and progress in this era of national development, living up to the expectations of the people in the province as well as those living abroad.

In the joyful atmosphere of the early spring days and with warm sentiments, on behalf of the Party Committee, the government, and the people of the province, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, extended his best wishes to the people of Quang Tri currently living, studying, and working in Ho Chi Minh City.

Affirming and appreciating the meaningful and practical contributions of the Quang Tri Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City over the past time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, stated that the success and achievements of people from Quang Tri in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as in other provinces and cities, are always a source of pride, a spiritual support, and a valuable resource for their homeland and for future generations of people from Quang Tri.

Summarizing the outstanding achievements in 2024 and some major orientations and activities of the province in 2025, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, affirmed that the province has many important prerequisites for development, especially the practical and meaningful mechanisms and policies of the central government dành for the province.

We hope that the people of Quang Tri residing in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity, love, and mutual support in life. At the same time, we hope they will always look towards their homeland and continue to work together to build a stronger and more prosperous Quang Tri.
