Hai Phong Farmers' Association organizes a contest to learn about the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms

Vietnam is still in the list of 15 countries with the highest smoking rate among adult men in the world . To make the work of preventing the harmful effects of tobacco more effective, propaganda work on preventing the harmful effects of tobacco is still the core policy to reduce the harmful effects of tobacco.

The Competition on Learning about the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms in 2024 in Vinh Bao district is an important and practical cultural forum. Through the competition, contestants will bring to the Competition knowledge, models, and experiences in preventing tobacco harms in many rich and impressive cultural and artistic colors, bearing the mark of each individual and unit. The Organizing Committee hopes that all contestants and delegates attending the Competition will be good propagandists to spread awareness about tobacco harm prevention to each family and community. Thereby building and maintaining the image of "smoke-free workplaces"; families "say no to tobacco"...

The contest will gather 6 participating teams, with the participating teams being talented officials and members, knowledgeable about tobacco prevention and control, and prestigious in mobilizing members.

The contest includes sections such as greeting farmers with self-introduction of their teams in the form of poems, songs, folk songs, etc.; Knowledge section with quick-answer questions about regulations in the Law on Tobacco Harm Prevention; Farmer Talent section with teams dramatizing the harmful effects of tobacco on human health, the living environment and the consequences of smoking. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee will award first, second, third and consolation prizes to the teams.

Through the contest, the aim is to equip cadres and farmer members with knowledge and skills to propagate the harmful effects of tobacco to become the core force to propagate the prevention of the harmful effects of tobacco. From there, it contributes to raising awareness and perception of cadres and farmer members in the city about the harmful effects of tobacco, in order to gradually reduce the rate of tobacco use and the harmful effects caused by tobacco so that everyone can live and work in a "smoke-free" environment as well as the harmful effects of tobacco, the harmful effects of tobacco production and use on human health, the environment and the socio-economy.
