The 2nd Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee Conference, term 2023

This afternoon, December 21, the Provincial Farmers' Association held the 2nd Executive Committee meeting for the 2023-2028 term to approve the report on the results of the association's work and the farmers' movement in 2024; directions, goals, and tasks for 2024; working regulations; the full-term program of the Executive Committee; assignment of tasks to Executive Committee members and Standing Committee members of the Provincial Farmers' Association for the 12th term, 2023-2028 term.

According to the report of the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee, in 2023, all levels of the association and cadres and members of the association have been proactive, creative, and flexible in implementing the tasks of the association and the farmers' movement, achieving positive results. They have focused on directing the completion of grassroots congresses and district-level farmers' congresses on schedule; successfully organizing the Provincial Farmers' Association Congress. Propaganda and political and ideological education work have been promoted, implemented extensively and promptly. The organization and staff of the association have been consolidated and improved to improve operational efficiency; the quality of members has been improved.

During the year, over 2,000 members were admitted, bringing the total number of members in the province to over 88,580. 32 new professional associations and 5 professional branches were established with over 380 members. Nearly 27,500 households achieved excellent production and business at all levels.

Through farmer support projects, over 156 production and business models have been built and developed; members have been supported and guided to build and replicate many integrated farm models, organic agricultural production models, high-tech applications, linkage models, and production cooperation models according to the value chain, bringing high economic efficiency.

Vocational training for members and farmers is focused on by all levels of the association with many suitable training models and forms, attracting many young workers to participate. Coordinate and link with businesses to guarantee and supply good quality seeds and input materials to farmers in the form of interest-free deferred payments, combined with training on technology transfer, preservation, processing, and consumption of products to help farmers have conditions to invest, expand production and business...

Regarding the direction and goals for 2024, the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee set out 14 basic targets, focusing on striving to admit 1,600 or more new members; training and introducing at least 150 outstanding members for the Party to consider admission; establishing 30 new professional farmers' associations and 9 professional farmers' branches; having over 60% of farmer members have access to necessary knowledge, market information, science and technology, high technology, and application of digital transformation in agricultural production; supporting at least 1,200 households to have accounts on e-commerce platforms; 60% or more of farmer households registering to strive and 50% or more of registered households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels; increasing the average growth of the Farmers' Support Fund by 10% or more...

On this occasion, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 13 individuals with outstanding achievements in the association's work and farmers' movement in 2022 - 2023.
