Provincial-level briefing conference, November 2024

On the morning of November 29th, in Binh Lieu district, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Binh Lieu District Party Committee, organized the provincial-level briefing conference for November 2024.

At the conference, Comrade Ly Van Binh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Binh Lieu District Party Committee, provided information on the development and growth of Binh Lieu district over its 105 years since establishment. In particular, he highlighted the journey to achieving the new rural standard in 2023, making Binh Lieu the first mountainous, border, and ethnic minority district nationwide to be recognized as meeting the new rural standard according to the criteria set for the 2021-2025 period.

Comrade Vu Duy Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs , delivered a presentation on the topic "The world and regional situation and the foreign affairs work of our Party and State in the past period; forecast of the world situation and tasks of foreign affairs work in the coming period" at the conference.

The reporters, propagandists, and public opinion collaborators of the province also listened to Mr. Vu Duy Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, present a specialized topic on "The world and regional situation and the foreign policy work of our Party and State in the past period; forecast of the world situation and tasks of foreign policy work in the coming period." Through this topic, the Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, clarified the increasing strategic competition among major powers, the decline of the world economy , escalating conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, the Red Sea, increased tensions on the Korean Peninsula and in the Taiwan Strait, as well as the complex developments of natural disasters, climate change, energy security, food security, and cybersecurity. These are all issues of concern to cadres, Party members, and the people, especially in the context of the continuing complex and unpredictable global situation.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, outlined the direction of propaganda work in the coming period.

Regarding the orientation of propaganda work in the coming period, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, requested that the Propaganda Departments of Party committees under political and social organizations, and the team of speakers and propagandists at all levels focus on thoroughly understanding and disseminating the following key contents: The results of the Central Committee meeting on November 25, 2024, with a focus on informing and disseminating important contents approved by the Central Committee, especially the determination to implement the policy of summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the organizational structure of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient" and the closing remarks of the General Secretary at the summary conference; and disseminating information on the strong innovation of the Party's leadership and governance methods, and the urgent requirements of the new revolutionary stage. Mobilize cadres, Party members, Youth Union members, association members, and all strata of the people to actively participate in the direct election of village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads for the 2025-2027 term; review socio-economic development results, outstanding achievements, and the implementation of the 2024 work theme; widely disseminate Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024, of the Politburo and Plan No. 439-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on organizing Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Earlier, on November 28th, the reporters, propagandists, and social opinion collaborators of the province also visited a model collective in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings in Binh Lieu district and exchanged experiences with localities and units throughout the province.
