Propaganda introducing the Coast Guard force and the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands

On the morning of November 22nd, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1, in coordination with the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and the Ha Long City Party Committee, organized the program "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" to promote and introduce the Coast Guard force, the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands, and the situation in the East Sea.

During the program, Major General Tran Van Hau, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command, introduced to the delegates the main features of the organization, functions, tasks, and some outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Coast Guard; the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands; and some key aspects of the recent situation in the East Sea.

Also during the program, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1, together with Ha Long City and philanthropists in the province, presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, fishermen, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in Ha Long City.

The "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" program, organized by the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 in coordination with the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and the Ha Long City Party Committee, is one of the activities concretizing the Joint Program No. 01, dated October 29, 2019, between the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee. It is linked to the implementation of Resolution No. 15, dated April 23, 2019, of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board "On the development of seaports and port services in the province until 2025, with a vision to 2030"; contributing to the goal of "Building Quang Ninh province into one of the country's strong maritime economic centers"; and simultaneously promoting the combined strength of Party committees, government, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in building and firmly protecting national sovereignty over the sea and islands.

The Command of Coast Guard Region 1, together with Ha Long City and philanthropists in the province, presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, fishermen, and students from disadvantaged families in Ha Long City.

Later that same day, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1, in coordination with Ha Long City, organized the "I Love My Homeland's Sea and Islands" competition, with the participation of students from Bai Chay Secondary School, Bai Chay 2 Primary and Secondary School, and Ly Tu Trong Secondary School.
