The propaganda session attracted over 300 participants, including vehicle owners, captains and fishermen in the area. This is one of the key activities of Reconnaissance Team No. 2 during the peak period of propaganda, inspection and prevention of IUU fishing in 2025, demonstrating the determination of officers and soldiers in ending the situation of fishing vessels violating foreign waters before November 15, 2025; contributing with functional forces and coastal localities to effectively implement the goal of removing the yellow card of the European Commission (EC), towards sustainable and responsible development of Vietnam's fisheries.
At the propaganda session, the reporter disseminated the main contents of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard, legal regulations related to combating IUU fishing; showed propaganda videos , guided fishermen to exploit seafood in accordance with regulations, raised awareness of law compliance, and built a legal and sustainable exploitation environment.

At the same time, the Coast Guard also organized propaganda and mobilized fishermen to proactively respond to storm No. 13, organize reinforcement, bracing, and anchoring of boats at safe ports. The propaganda content was deployed concisely, easy to understand, easy to remember, combining direct dialogue, distributing leaflets and specific instructions for each vehicle owner, helping fishermen grasp the regulations and proactively prevent violations.
After the propaganda session at the hall, the working group went directly to Loc An fishing port (Phuoc Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to propagate to more than 30 fishing boat owners who were anchored; met with captains and crew members to encourage strict compliance with the law in seafood exploitation activities. On this occasion, the unit distributed more than 300 leaflets, gave 100 national flags and 100 law books to local fishermen.

The propaganda activities of Reconnaissance Unit No. 2 are practical actions in response to the Peak Campaign to prevent and stop IUU fishing vessels launched by the Vietnam Coast Guard (from October 15 to November 15, 2025), contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity, maintaining political security and social order and safety in sea and island areas.
