Recently, implementing Decision No. 1336/QD-TTg dated August 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister approving the Project to replicate the intergenerational self-help club model for the period up to 2025, the Provincial Association of the Elderly has achieved many positive results.
Intergenerational Self-Help Club (LTHTGN) is a voluntary social organization that organizes 8 areas of activities including: increasing income, improving spiritual life, health care, providing volunteer-based home care, self-help and community support, protecting rights and interests, raising awareness and knowledge, mobilizing resources for the club's sustainable development and supporting members.
Up to now, the whole province has had 15/15 districts, towns and cities establish LTHTGN clubs, with a total of 220 clubs and over 11,563 members; in which the districts of Krong Nang, Krong Bong, Krong Buk, Krong Ana, Buon Don, Ea H'leo and Ea Sup have established clubs in 100% of communes and towns.

The LTHTGN clubs, after being established and put into operation, have been effective, providing spiritual support and encouragement to the elderly. With 8 activities, the club is an environment for the elderly to exchange and learn from each other's experiences, a place to practice health and raise awareness of self-care, a place to meet and encourage each other to live happily and healthily; contributing to mutual support among members and between generations, between people with economic conditions and people with difficulties.
In particular, the clubs have mobilized an initial fund of more than 11.5 billion VND, thereby creating conditions for 1,583 members to borrow at low interest rates to invest in farming, livestock, and service businesses, contributing to improving their lives. Most members who received loans from the clubs used the funds for the right purposes, paid interest and principal on time, and many members have escaped poverty and near-poverty.
In addition, activities of health care, spiritual care, care for sick and lonely members at home are also carried out by LTHTGN clubs, creating cohesion, promoting activities in the community, encouraging each other to implement well the policies and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State. It can be seen that since the establishment of the LTHTGN club model, the lives of the elderly members have changed a lot, the spirit is more optimistic and cheerful, members can exchange, learn experiences, participate in useful activities to live happily, live healthily and live usefully for society.
