National scientific conference on accounting and auditing

On July 27, the 7th National Scientific Conference on Accounting and Auditing (VCAA 2025) took place at Nha Trang University with the theme "Impact of economic fluctuations and financial policies on accounting and auditing". The conference was organized by Nha Trang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, National Economics University, University of Economics - Danang University in collaboration with 17 economic universities nationwide and 2 professional organizations (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Vietnam - ACCA, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants - VACPA). More than 300 scientists, experts, businesses, and managers nationwide participated in the conference.

At the workshop, experts presented scientific reports, shared practical experiences and discussed the latest trends in the field of accounting and auditing. In particular, the general session focused on the following topics: Developing an international financial center in Vietnam; the role of building high-quality human resources; students' awareness of the accounting profession; businesses' perspectives on accounting and auditing training trends. In addition, experts also discussed and analyzed the impact of economic fluctuations on accounting and auditing activities in Vietnam; assessed the impact of financial and accounting policies on businesses; updated international accounting standards and their applicability in Vietnam; and impacts on the capital market, investors and businesses. Thereby, proposing solutions and directions for the development of accounting and auditing in the new economic context, contributing to improving financial transparency and supporting the upgrading of the Vietnamese stock market.
