- On May 23rd, the Lang Son Youth Palace held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Expanded Youth Palace Karatedo Tournament 2026. The tournament attracted more than 160 athletes from 6 delegations representing youth palaces, children's houses, and clubs from the provinces of Phu Tho, Bac Ninh , and Lang Son to compete.

The tournament took place over two days, May 23rd and 24th, with athletes aged 6 to 17 participating. Athletes competed in 70 events across three categories: team poomsae (forms), individual poomsae (Kata), and individual sparring (Kumite). The events were divided into six age groups: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16-17 years old.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee will award 70 sets of medals to athletes who achieve high results in the various events and 3 overall team awards to outstanding units. Prior to the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee held competitions in several events and awarded prizes to athletes who achieved high results.

The Youth Center Open Karatedo Tournament is organized to create a healthy and beneficial sporting environment for young people. Through this, it contributes to promoting the sports training movement following the example of President Ho Chi Minh. This is also an opportunity for units and clubs inside and outside the province to strengthen exchanges, learn from each other, and share experiences.
