On the evening of September 10th, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, organized the "Borderland Mid-Autumn Festival Night" program, bringing a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival to hundreds of children in the border area of A Luoi district.
Attending the program, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, and his family contributed 30 gifts to be given to children in difficult circumstances.

The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and other units and individuals, awarded 30 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND, to students sponsored under the "Border Guard Post's Adopted Children" model, part of the "Helping Children Go to School" program.
The organizers also presented more than 210 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to underprivileged students in A Luoi district.
On the same day, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the local authorities, visited and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to disabled children and those affected by Agent Orange in Hong Van commune; and donated 250 white shirts to students of Hong Van Secondary and High School (A Luoi district) as part of the "White Shirts Accompanying Children to School" program.

Colonel Pham Tung Lam, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Thua Thien Hue province, said that in addition to the task of firmly protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security, the border guards regularly pay attention to the education of children and teenagers in border areas.
The programs and initiatives implemented in collaboration with the unit have contributed to supporting and assisting hundreds of students from disadvantaged and extremely difficult circumstances. Many of them have been admitted to universities and colleges and continue to strive for success in life.
