More than 300 domestic and international delegates attended the workshop on Sustainable Development in the context of digital transformation.

On August 21, the University of Education - Danang University coordinated with related units to organize the 2nd International Conference on Biology and Agriculture with the theme "Sustainable development in the context of digital transformation". The conference was attended by more than 300 delegates, researchers, and leading experts in the fields of biology and agriculture.

The workshop aims to concretize Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated January 30, 2023 of the Politburo on the development and application of biotechnology to serve the country's sustainable development in the new situation. Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Van Minh, Rector of the University of Education - University of Danang, said: In recent years, humanity is facing many global challenges at the same time: increasingly severe climate change, biodiversity loss, resource depletion, while the demand for food, medicine and agricultural products for life is increasing.

On the other hand, we also witness remarkable advances in science and technology, especially biotechnology, digital technology, artificial intelligence and smart farming systems.

With a history of 50 years of formation and development, the University of Education - University of Danang always determines its core mission to train high-quality human resources, research and transfer knowledge for the sustainable development of the country and the region.

The workshop was co-organized by 11 universities and research units at home and abroad. In addition to the 4 main reports presented at the plenary session, the workshop was divided into 4 sub-committees with 20 reports presented directly.

On the sidelines of the conference, there will be an exhibition of science and technology products of enterprises and research institutes nationwide; international cooperation signing activities and academic tours and cultural experiences in Da Nang city.
