Hong Dao and Phuong Anh Dao reunite.

Following the success of Mai, actresses Hong Dao and Phuong Anh Dao are reuniting in a new film project - The Day My Child Still Has a Mother.

The film's production launch ceremony was held this morning, May 2nd, in Ho Chi Minh City.

In this project, the two actresses with the same name, who previously played a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the film "Mai ," will become biological mother and daughter.

According to producer Lee Jin Sung (Runup Vietnam), if there were unresolved issues in their previous film, those karmic debts will be settled in " The Day My Child Still Has a Mother ." This is not only the return of two talented actresses, but also a guarantee of box office success for Vietnamese cinema.

The film also marks the return of director Vu Ngoc Dang after "The Rich Bride " two years ago. This time, he simultaneously takes on the roles of screenwriter and director, promising an emotionally charged film that allows him to showcase his strengths in family dramas with profound psychological insights, dramatic moments, and a heartwarming atmosphere.

The film is scheduled to be released in November 2026.
