According to CBS News , during a meeting with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and hundreds of generals and admirals at Quantico, Virginia, on September 30, President Trump gave a speech that lasted nearly an hour.
"There is no higher honor than serving as your Commander-in-Chief," Mr. Trump opened his speech.
The White House boss stressed that renaming the US Department of Defense to the Department of War is a "historic reaffirmation of our purpose, identity and pride".
"The War Department will end war. The American armed forces will be absolutely unmatched in the future," Mr. Trump said.
"Together, we are rekindling the warrior spirit. I am with you all the way. As President, I support you 100%. You will never see me waver even a little bit," Mr. Trump affirmed.

The US leader ended his nearly hour-long speech by praising the military for protecting American freedom.
"The American military has been through hell, climbed treacherous mountains, crossed fierce oceans and vast deserts to defend our flag, freedom and homeland. No one does it like you," Mr. Trump praised.
"We are the United States Army, the best, boldest and bravest the world has ever seen. We will fight and win," President Trump emphasized.
