Party-to-party cooperation between Vietnam and India

The Communist Magazine delegation led by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, paid a working visit to India from November 21-26.

According to VNA, during the working visit to India, the delegation laid flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in the capital New Delhi; visited the headquarters of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M); had talks with CPI and CPI-M leaders; and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in India.

During the meetings, the parties informed each other about the situation of each Party; discussed the situation of cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the CPI and CPI-M, as well as a number of measures to strengthen and further promote the relationship between the parties in the coming time, especially in the field of political theory and propaganda cooperation. Comrade Le Hai Binh shared the long-standing and good friendship that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have for the country, people of India and the comrades of the CPI and CPI-M.

Appreciating the role and position of CPI and CPI-M in India, comrade Le Hai Binh hoped that the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the two parties would be increasingly sustainable, with increased coordination and mutual support at political party forums; and enhanced exchange of information, experience, and cooperation in political theory and propaganda for the development of each country.

The CPI and CPI-M parties affirmed that they highly value the traditional friendship and good cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam; highly appreciated the achievements Vietnam has attained in recent times under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially the achievements in hunger eradication, poverty reduction, social security policies... which have significantly contributed to enhancing the country's foundation and international position.
