TPO - Establishing legal boundaries for 16 relics outside the Hue Citadel is a necessary step to protect heritage values, creating a transparent basis for the relocation of residents, site clearance and promoting the value of the Ancient Capital in the process of developing Hue heritage urban areas.

On the morning of April 27, information from the Hue Monuments Conservation Center (Center) said that the unit has just coordinated with relevant agencies to complete the measurement, zoning, and establishment of legal boundaries at 16 monuments located outside the Hue Citadel area.

According to the Center, determining this boundary is a necessary step to clarify land ownership and property rights associated with the relics, while ensuring the rights of people living in the area.   - Area planned for relocation and site clearance.

Mr. Phan Van Tuan - Deputy Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that the Center has organized the establishment of additional markers, accurately determining the scope of the clearance area, serving the work of inventory, measurement and counting of assets and land of affected households, with the goal of ensuring transparency and accuracy in compensation and resettlement support.

According to the Resolution of the Hue City People's Council on adjusting and expanding the project of Relocating residents and clearing land in area 1 of Hue Citadel relics, in the period of 2024 - 2025, the city will relocate residents at 16 key relics of the Hue Monuments Complex, including Thien Mu Pagoda, Temple of Literature - Temple of Martial Arts, Ho Quyen, Voi Re, Quoc Tu Giam, Minh Mang Tomb, Thieu Tri Tomb...

Marking work to determine the legal boundaries of 16 relics   important outside Hue Citadel.

Total estimated cost for relocation and site clearance at 16 relic sites   located outside the Hue Citadel, costing about 368 billion VND. The relocation will affect 753 households.

This is the next important step in the roadmap for relocating residents of Area I - Hue Citadel relic site,   Contribute to protecting the cultural heritage of the Ancient Capital; promote the process of building Hue into a unique heritage city and sustainable development.
