Biodiversity is an invaluable resource for humanity, playing a crucial role in economic development, environmental protection, and the maintenance of life on Earth. Natural ecosystems provide humans with food, clean water, fresh air, medicinal resources, and contribute to mitigating the impacts of climate change.
In response to the 2026 International Day for Biological Diversity with the theme "Local Action for Global Impact," each locality, agency, unit, and individual needs to promote their role and responsibility in environmental protection and nature conservation through practical and concrete actions.
Small actions such as planting trees, protecting water resources, reducing plastic waste, sorting waste at source, using resources efficiently, and refraining from hunting and consuming wild animals will contribute to significant changes for the global environment.
Every locality, agency, and unit that is greener and cleaner will contribute to building a healthier planet. Biodiversity conservation is not only the responsibility of all levels and sectors, but requires the collective effort of the entire society.
