Quang Ngai province has identified 2025 as a pivotal year and the year marking the end of the 2020-2025 term. Therefore, the province has directed all levels and local sectors to seriously implement assigned tasks with the highest spirit and determination to complete the plan and tasks for the entire term.
The Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council concluded its session with the issuance of several important resolutions, including allocating over 4,000 billion VND for public investment in 2025.
At the ongoing 13th session of the Provincial People's Council, delegates unanimously approved a Resolution on the allocation of the 2025 public investment plan (local budget funds) totaling nearly 4,051 billion VND.
Of this, the capital for basic construction projects totaled nearly 2,384 billion VND, including: over 468 billion VND allocated to localities; 1,518 billion VND allocated to provincial programs, tasks, and projects; and 125 billion VND from lottery revenue.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, Nguyen Hoang Giang, in addition to opportunities and advantages, Quang Ngai province continues to face certain difficulties and challenges. These include the central government's allocation of a 2025 revenue target of 31,950 billion VND, a 25.7% increase compared to the 2024 target, which is a significant aspiration but also places considerable pressure, while world oil prices are falling compared to the central government's projected price (80 USD/barrel).
Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, Nguyen Hoang Giang, said the province will focus intensely on successfully completing its tasks in 2025.
“The tasks set for 2025 are extremely challenging, simultaneously implementing two socio-economic development tasks for 2025 and the 2021-2025 five-year plan. Therefore, Quang Ngai province will continue to strive, setting the highest determination and acting decisively; maximizing the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement; strongly innovating strategic thinking and breakthrough vision based on inheriting the achievements already made and overcoming difficulties and limitations to complete the set goals and targets,” Mr. Giang emphasized.
To ensure the completion of targets and tasks for 2025, the head of the Quang Ngai provincial government stated that the province is urgently completing the restructuring and streamlining of the organizational apparatus of departments, agencies, and units under the Provincial People's Committee and districts, towns, and cities; and effectively implementing the Project on the restructuring of commune-level administrative units in the period 2023-2025.
The key work program for 2025 should be issued promptly, with a focus on key areas, in line with reality and within the scope of authority; and the heads of agencies and units should be severely punished. Focus should be placed on reviewing and developing the 5-year financial plan for 2026-2030; and directing and managing state budget revenue collection. This includes developing effective solutions to accelerate the collection of land use fees in 2025.
Focus intensely on ensuring a happy Tet holiday for the people.
In her closing remarks at the session, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council of Quang Ngai, Bui Thi Quynh Van, emphasized: 2025 is a crucial year to achieve the goals and targets set forth in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2021-2025.
Based on the analysis and forecast of the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in 2025, the Provincial People's Council requests the Provincial People's Committee, departments, and localities to resolutely and steadfastly implement the 25 main targets and the groups of tasks and solutions for comprehensive development in all areas of socio-economic development and national defense and security.
Quang Ngai Provincial Party Secretary Bui Thi Quynh Van urged all levels and sectors to flexibly and creatively implement solutions appropriate to the new situation, and successfully complete the tasks for 2025.
"The Provincial People's Committee should promptly direct, concretize, and organize the implementation of the Provincial People's Council's Resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2025 from the very first days and months of 2025 with a more decisive and effective spirit, linked to the ability to balance, mobilize, and effectively utilize resources, creating a strong transformation in socio-economic development in the province."
"The Provincial People's Council requests the Provincial People's Committee, all levels and sectors, especially the heads in charge of fields, sectors, localities, agencies, and units, to focus their utmost efforts on leadership, direction, management, and operation, implementing comprehensive, timely, flexible, and creative solutions appropriate to the new situation," Ms. Van instructed.
At the closing session of the meeting, the Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Bui Thi Quynh Van, said that 2025 and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake are fast approaching. With the motto "everyone, every family can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year" and "no one should be left behind".
The Provincial People's Council requested all levels and sectors to focus on meticulously preparing plans so that the people can enjoy a warm, peaceful, and happy Lunar New Year; paying special attention to and caring for policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, people in difficult circumstances; poor households, remote areas, ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, workers, and laborers working in industrial zones and clusters...
