Intel unveiled a laptop powered by the Wildcat Lake processor from the Intel Core i3 Series at a press event. The product impressed with its eye-catching design, aluminum casing, and multi-colored lid, similar to the MacBook Neo.

This laptop model was developed by Intel to compete with the MacBook Neo.

Intel's goal is to create a laptop that balances performance and energy efficiency. Users can choose between a low-power mode (fanless operation) or a high-performance mode, depending on their needs.
Intel's prototype laptop is presented as a unique reference design, different from existing Windows products on the market. This laptop features a two-tone blue and white color scheme reminiscent of the MacBook Neo's colors, although not a perfect match in shades.
What's so special about Intel's MacBook Neo challenger?
According to Vaidyanathan S, a reporter present at the launch event, the laptop has a rather attractive design, similar to the MacBook Air M1, with an aluminum casing and noticeable speaker placement.

The machine offers various operating modes.

The product is equipped with a 6-core (2+4 core) Intel Core i3 Wildcat Lake processor and a 17-core NPU, with various operating modes: PL1 at 17W (basic mode), PL2 at 32W (turbo mode), PL1 at 22W (balanced mode), and PL1 at 11W (power saving mode, fanless). The power saving mode is sufficient for light tasks such as checking email, editing documents, or watching videos on YouTube.
Currently, there is no detailed information about whether the product will be released to the market, as this is only a reference model for other manufacturers to adapt to their own architectures. However, if Intel wants to truly compete with the MacBook Neo, the company will need to improve the quality of its product to match what Apple's most affordable laptop offers.
