iPhone 14 Pro Max is in short supply in Vietnam

iPhone 14 Pro Max was born in 2022 and began to stop production after the birth of iPhone 15 Pro Max from September 9.2023. Up to now, this device has begun to run out of stock and it will be difficult for consumers to find a capacity version with the right color as required.

On Apple's official online store (Apple Store) in Vietnam, this device and its "twin", the iPhone 14 Pro, have no longer appeared since September last year, replaced by the iPhone 9 Pro duo. and 15 Pro Max. At some authorized dealers (AAR), this product is also in "Discontinued" status or only available in small quantities, not enough choice at local stores outside Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

A representative of an AAR said that because the iPhone 14 Pro Max stopped production for a long time, there was a shortage of stock. If the seller wants to import more from major distribution channels, they will have to accept higher costs, so on In today's market, places that still sell new products often have to push up product prices to compensate.

Ms. Phung Phuong, representative of Di Dong Viet, confirmed that because the supply is no longer abundant and goods are few, this system almost no longer sells iPhone 14 Pro Max. Meanwhile, FPT Shop forecasts that the quantity of goods will only be enough to serve the end of April if market demand is as it is now, and after "clearing the warehouse", no more will be imported.

Since their launch, iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have not been as "peaceful" as their predecessors as the price of this series has continuously fluctuated according to the market. At the time of launch, the device immediately fell into a state of shortage and showed signs of increasing, the supply chain was in short supply close to the Lunar New Year. After Tet, supplies began to become more abundant and prices showed signs of gradually going down.

After 10 months on the shelves (from October 10.2022), a standard iPhone 14 Pro Max has decreased in price by 8 million VND - the fastest devaluation rate ever recorded for a newly launched iPhone in Vietnam. There was even a time when dealers accepted to sell at par, or compensate for losses (as shared by some small-scale AARs) on each unit sold to stimulate market demand and quickly turn capital around in the context of purchasing power. unusually weak.

A full year after launch, this product "fell to the bottom", losing the mark of 26 million VND but increased slightly after the launch of the iPhone 15 series and reached about 27 million VND in December 12.2023.

Mr. Nguyen The Kha, Commercial Director of FPT Shop system, commented that despite the price increase, this device still receives the attention of users because the new generation does not make too many differences in design, while the features and The configuration still meets the needs, and has a cheaper price.

However, with the reference mark of 27 million VND in December 12.2023 and the current shortage situation, some market monitoring experts believe that users should compensate about 3 million VND more to buy iPhone 15 Pro Max when the product line is released. This product's price started to drop after the Lunar New Year and is about to enter the gloomy period of the annual market that takes place in the second quarter.

Currently, the standard iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) is under the 30 million VND mark at some sellers. At a cheaper price range, about 25 million VND, users will have the option of iPhone 15 Pro 128 GB version. These are all Apple's newest devices, so they will have configurations as well as features and a longer support life cycle than the 2022 predecessor model.
