According to Android Authority , data collected from the product review website PerfectRec shows that the iPhone 15 Pro has seen a decline in the number of 5-star reviews compared to its predecessor. Notably, this is the second consecutive year that the iPhone Pro has experienced a drop in 5-star ratings. This suggests user disappointment with what is considered the most premium model in the iPhone 15 series.
The iPhone 15 Pro only received 73% five-star ratings.
To collect this data, PerfectRec analyzed over 690,000 user reviews, showing that only 73% of customers said the phone received a perfect score. This figure is down from the 76% that the iPhone 14 Pro earned last year, which is also down 8% compared to the iPhone 13 Pro.
The data also shows that the iPhone 15 Pro has the lowest number of 5-star reviews of any other Pro model Apple has ever created. However, in a positive note from PerfectRec, the number of 5-star reviews for the base model and the iPhone 15 Plus has increased compared to the previous generation.
There is no specific information explaining why user ratings for the iPhone 15 Pro have dropped so drastically; however, analysts suggest the cause may stem from the Pro models experiencing overheating issues for a short period before Apple released a patch to fix them. Besides the USB-C port, titanium frame, and programmable Action button, there are no major differences between the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro.
