CNET recently conducted real-world battery tests on 35 popular smartphone models in the US. The test consists of continuous video playback and a series of high-intensity activities lasting 45 minutes.
The results show that the iPhone 17 Pro Max topped the rankings despite having a battery capacity of only 5,088 mAh. The optimal combination of the A19 Pro chip and iOS 26 gives Apple a significant advantage in energy efficiency.
Notably, the standard iPhone 17 with its 3,692 mAh battery still tied for second place with the OnePlus 15 with its 7,300 mAh battery. This proves that a larger battery capacity does not necessarily mean better battery life. When calculating the average brand score, Apple achieved 91.7%, far surpassing OnePlus, Samsung, and Google.
The results confirm that software optimization and processor chip performance remain key to the iPhone's leading position in battery life. Readers are invited to watch the following video: Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
