After the online job fairs that Hanoi has implemented, the Department of Employment (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) will expand the pilot program of management and operation tools for online job fairs to carry out job fairs connecting provinces and cities across the country.
Reducing travel for workers At a recent online job fair, at the Hanoi bridge, Mr. Dang Van Manh (Thanh Hoa) has been in Hanoi for 5 years now, after an online interview with the satellite floor point in (Thuong Tin, Hanoi) came to submit his application. Mr. Dang Van Manh said: "After the online interview, I found that I met the income requirements and was close to my current residence, so I submitted my application. Online interviews help workers reduce travel, discuss specifically with the employer about the job position, thereby determining to find a new job."

Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Huyen, Deputy Head of Organization - Administration Department - Song Hong Tourism and Trade Company Limited has also participated in online recruitment of the Hanoi Job Exchange with transaction points in the provinces several times. From the perspective of an employer, Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Huyen said: "Through the online transaction floor, I can expand the recruitment source, discuss specifically with job applicants so that they can better understand the job, thereby meeting the number of job positions required by the unit". Enterprises participating in direct and online recruitment at the Hanoi Job Exchange and online transaction points from the provinces all want to have the profile screening to narrow down each recruitment target, thereby saving time, reducing travel and increasing the rate of successful connection. Expanding the pilot According to Mr. Vu Trong Binh, Director of the Department of Employment, the pilot implementation of the online job exchange management tool marks an important milestone in connecting labor supply and demand of the job exchange system in provinces and cities nationwide. In the pilot program, job service centers in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Bac Giang , Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien - Hue, Binh Duong and Can Tho... connected 79 businesses and a large number of workers to the system, of which, at the Hanoi Job Exchange point, there were 27 businesses participating in the connection.
Through online transactions, workers know more clearly the job position they are applying for.
According to Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, Hanoi has been "one step ahead" in operating online connections between 15 job exchanges in the area. However, the deployment of a management toolkit for online job exchanges connecting all 63 provinces and cities is truly an effective step, contributing to the modernization of the operations of job exchanges on digital platforms, greatly supporting the staff and employees of the exchanges in their professional work. Mr. Vu Quang Thanh said that, through practical operations, in the coming time, the Department of Employment and the National Center for Employment Services will continue to make appropriate adjustments so that this digital platform is increasingly closer to users, creating maximum convenience for businesses and employees, while at the same time, easily managing labor market information data. Mr. Vu Trong Binh said: “When the internet explodes, the digitalization process takes place quickly, having an online job exchange is even more necessary. This is also the first time that Vietnam has a job transaction connection system on a digital platform, from direct to online; ensuring the smoothness of the labor market, connecting supply and demand. This application ensures the connection of labor supply and demand nationwide, not locally. Previously, when businesses and workers wanted to meet, they had to go to the job service center, which was just a job transaction point of the center. But through the online application, workers anywhere can connect and search for jobs. This is a huge breakthrough, ensuring the connection of labor supply and demand everywhere, anytime”. Currently, the Department of Employment is deploying a job transaction database system connected to the population database and is proposing an investment project. This ensures a very large database system of 63 job service centers that will use a nationwide database; linked to job vacancies. “When the construction is completed, we will move towards completing a more complete and modern national job transaction system,” said Mr. Vu Trong Binh.
