Consistently spreading the spirit of "Running for a Superior Vietnam" from its early seasons, the 2025 season marks a significant turning point, transforming running from a movement into a healthy and sustainable lifestyle within the community.
As the first large-scale community sporting event in the capital after this momentous historical milestone, the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon, organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, and with the strategic partnership of Techcombank, continues its journey of connecting communities through sports.
The fourth season is expected to attract around 13,000 athletes from both within and outside the country, including professional and amateur runners, celebrities, businesses, and the running community.
The increase in scale year after year is evidence of a positive shift in societal awareness, as running is gradually becoming a part of an active and healthy lifestyle.
As a result, the tournament is increasingly affirming its positive influence in promoting a healthy lifestyle, fostering perseverance, and inspiring aspirations for advancement in the era of Vietnam's national progress.
Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, emphasized that the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is one of the key sporting events of the capital city following the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, making a practical contribution to promoting the spirit of sports and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
“Over three seasons of co-organization, the event has attracted more than 26,000 athletes, affirming its enduring appeal and widespread influence throughout the community both domestically and internationally. We acknowledge and highly appreciate the positive impacts the event has brought, and we are committed to continuing to cooperate closely with the organizing committee to ensure professional standards and competition safety. This is also part of Hanoi's long-term orientation in connecting culture, sports, and tourism, aiming to contribute to promoting the image of a modern Hanoi, rich in identity and deeply integrated with international friends,” said Mr. Pham Xuan Tai.
Along with its growth in scale and influence, this season marks a significant step forward in organization, with a focus on adjusting the competition schedule to enhance the quality of the experience for athletes.

Specifically, the routes for the Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.1 km) will be adjusted to ensure competition safety and minimize disruption to people's daily lives.
Traffic coordination and control activities will also be implemented synchronously, with close cooperation between the organizing committee and relevant authorities, aiming for a professionally organized, orderly, and efficient event.
With appropriate adjustments in operation, this year's route will guide athletes through 37 distinctive landmarks and structures, from places steeped in cultural and historical depth to modern highlights, clearly reflecting the multifaceted development of Hanoi.
With each run, participants not only conquer their physical limits but also have the opportunity to explore a Hanoi that is changing every day, where traditional values coexist with a creative and ever-evolving lifestyle.
The Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is therefore not simply a race, but also a journey connecting sports, culture, and tourism, contributing to spreading the image of the capital city as a dynamic destination, rich in identity, and loved by the international community.
Besides the official race distances, the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon also offers attractive side activities, taking place throughout the three days, from October 3-5.
Among them, the KIDS RUN stands out, a race for young athletes aged 5 to 14 with two distances: 3 km and 1.5 km.
More than just a beneficial sporting event that helps children improve their physical fitness and build an active lifestyle, it's also an opportunity for the whole family to bond, as parents directly accompany and encourage their children on their journey of holistic development.

Simultaneously, the Marathon Village will be an unmissable destination for the community and sports fans. Here, visitors can explore many engaging interactive activities, receive gifts, and experience health and wellness solutions from various brands. This space not only spreads the spirit of sports but also fosters connection among athletes, creating a close-knit and inspiring community.
As a symbolic annual race of Hanoi, organized on a large scale and professionally, the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is an opportunity for athletes to spread the spirit of sportsmanship, awaken national pride, and contribute together to the positive development of society.
