Supporting students to go to school.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province recently coordinated the first "Journey to Support Students to School" program in 2026. The program donated 300 bicycles and 6,000 notebooks, with a total value of over 700 million VND, to disadvantaged students in the province, providing them with further motivation ahead of the 2026-2027 school year.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the "Supporting Students to School" program demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, the tradition of mutual support and compassion, and the responsibility of the community in caring for the younger generation. Through gifts such as bicycles and notebooks, the program conveys love, trust, and companionship to students on their journey to overcome difficulties and attend school.

For many students, a bicycle is not simply a means of transportation but also a practical source of encouragement, helping them overcome difficulties and giving them more motivation to confidently study and nurture their dreams. Excited to receive her new bicycle, Nguyen Phuong Ngan (Nguyen Van Thoi Primary School, Trung Ngai commune) eagerly shared: “I’ve always wished to have a bicycle so I could ride to school on my own, making things easier for my parents. Now that I have a bicycle, I can go to school more conveniently and arrive on time.”

Sharing the same excitement, Tran Nguyen Dinh Khang (Binh Khanh Secondary School, Dong Khoi commune) said: “With many siblings, I used to hitch a ride to school every day. Now that I have a new bicycle to ride to school, I will try my best to study hard so as not to disappoint my family, teachers, and those who have helped me.”

The "For Our Beloved Children" campaign has been implemented by all levels of the Youth Union and Children's Union in the province with diverse and regular activities throughout the past period; demonstrating affection and responsibility in caring for, assisting, and creating conditions for teenagers and children to study, live, and develop comprehensively.

For example, in the 2025-2026 school year, the Hoa Hiep Commune Youth Union, in coordination with various organizations and benefactors, organized many practical activities to care for 850 disadvantaged and disabled students and children in the area through the "For Our Beloved Children" program, with a total amount of 150 million VND.

According to Ms. Phan Nhat Khanh Linh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hiep commune and Secretary of the Hoa Hiep Commune Youth Union, with the active support from units, organizations, youth union members, teachers, philanthropists, and religious institutions inside and outside the locality, the program has provided school supplies, milk, necessities, and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances; organized free haircuts, dental check-ups, children's playgrounds, and supported essential learning and living needs for children.

Connecting resources from fellow countrymen

Through skillful mass mobilization, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has strengthened connections with people from the homeland living and working in other provinces and cities, encouraging them to return home, contribute to improving the lives of the people in general, support students in attending school in particular, and build and develop the homeland.

Ms. Pham Bich Hong, Head of ACE Charity Club in Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “Through connecting with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, as a daughter of this homeland, I hope to contribute to providing students with support from the older generation. I am very happy to return to my hometown and contribute a gift and some affection so that students can have a joyful summer. I believe and hope that they will become useful members of society and good citizens.”

Affirming her desire to contribute to spreading the spirit of responsibility, mutual support, and compassion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai, Head of the Provincial Compatriots Liaison Committee in Hanoi, expressed: "We are always concerned with connecting people from our homeland with deep affection and a determination to work together and contribute to social activities that help our homeland become more beautiful, prosperous, and developed."

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, emphasized that social welfare has always been a pillar that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has focused on implementing in recent times.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province highly appreciates the attention and support of the sponsoring units. The responsible and humane sharing of these units has provided material support, spread positive values, and helped nurture dreams to reach further. The province hopes to continue receiving the support of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists in the future; and requests that all levels, sectors, schools, and families continue to pay attention and create the best conditions for the children to study, train, and develop comprehensively.
