Calls for the early reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

During a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae urged Iran to ensure that all ships, including those from Japan and other Asian countries, can navigate the Strait of Hormuz freely and safely; he also expressed his hope that Iran and the United States would de-escalate tensions in the Middle East through dialogue.

The Japanese leader expressed hope that Iran would show maximum flexibility in order to reach an agreement with the United States soon.

Iranian media, citing sources from the country's presidential office, reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that Tehran would strive to facilitate the passage of Japanese ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized that Paris is ready to support efforts to reach an agreement between the United States and Iran.

According to the French leader, a multinational maritime escort mission co-led by France and the UK could be deployed as soon as an agreement is signed to ensure maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz.

President Macron emphasized that France is ready to contribute to the negotiations, including those concerning Iran's nuclear program.

In an interview with the press, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that an agreement would soon be reached to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend the ceasefire with Iran.
