Bac Ninh issues extremely dangerous forest fire warning.

On June 2nd, 19 communes and wards in Bac Ninh province were at the extremely dangerous forest fire warning level (level V), the highest level on the forest fire forecast scale. The prolonged hot weather has put many forested areas in Bac Ninh at high risk of fire.

According to a report from the Bac Ninh Meteorological and Hydrological Station, monitoring results up to June 2nd show that localities are at the extremely dangerous forest fire warning level. This includes the communes and wards of: Bien Dong, Luc Ngan, Deo Gia, Son Hai, Tan Son, Bien Son, Sa Ly, Luc Son, Truong Son, Cam Ly, Dong Phu, Nghia Phuong, Luc Nam, Bac Lung, Bao Dai, Nam Duong, Kien Lao, Chu, and Phuong Son. This is the highest warning level on the forest fire forecast scale, indicating a very high risk of large-scale fires if any ignition source is detected.

The communes of Dai Son, Son Dong, Tay Yen Tu, Duong Huu, Yen Dinh, An Lac, Van Son, and Tuan Dao are at level III, which is the high level of forest fire risk.

In light of the above situation, the Provincial Forest Protection Department requests the Chairpersons of the People's Committees, the forest fire prevention and control committees of communes and wards, and forest owners to strengthen the implementation of forest fire prevention and control measures in accordance with regulations.

For communes and wards with a forest fire risk level of V, the commune-level forest fire prevention and control command board and forest owners must organize 24/7 duty shifts. Strengthen inspection and close monitoring in key areas with a high risk of fire. Strictly manage the movement of people and vehicles in and out of the forest, and absolutely prohibit people from using fire in and around the forest.

For localities with a Level III forest fire risk forecast, relevant units need to strictly enforce regulations on forest fire prevention and control; strictly prohibit burning undergrowth; and maintain a patrol force from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, especially during peak hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The Provincial Forest Protection Department also requested that localities regularly disseminate information and warnings about the risk of forest fires through mass media.
