Running until June 7th, the main event of the "Folk Tales of Wonder" project officially commenced, opening up an art and light experience inspired by familiar Vietnamese folk tales. Organized by a group of students from the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the project takes the audience on a journey to discover four iconic stories: "The Dragon and the Fairy," "The Legend of the Watermelon," "Saint Giong," and "Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh," through a combination of traditional elements and modern projection technology.

The highlight of the event lies in the Mapping space at X Space Immersive, where folk tales are vividly recreated through projection technology. More than just a performance, the program immerses participants in a highly interactive space where every frame, movement, and sound contributes to sparking their imagination about the world of Vietnamese folklore.

Commenting on the choice of lighting projection method, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung believes it is a suitable approach to bring folk tales closer to the modern audience. He stated: “This method helps ancient stories become more familiar and accessible to modern viewers. The combination of high-quality visual effects has had a strong and positive impact on the audience's visual experience.”
Another highlight of the event was the appearance of paintings created by children during the previous accompanying activities. After being digitized, the artworks were showcased in the event space as part of a journey to retell folk tales through images. The innocent drawings of the children added color to the program, while creating a gentle connection between folk memories and the creativity of today's generation.

Beyond just the screenings, the event also featured an exhibition and promotion area showcasing souvenir products bearing the project's unique imprint. These products, designed in the spirit of "Folklore Dreams," helped participants preserve memories after leaving the experience space. This is also how the project expands the presence of folklore in everyday life through items that resonate with young audiences.

The main event of "Folklore Dream" contributes to bringing folk heritage closer to the community, especially young people. By combining traditional values and creative thinking, the program helps demonstrate that folk culture does not belong only to the past, but can continue to be retold, felt, and preserved in new forms in today's life.
