Google Flight data shows that Vietnamese tourists search for year-end flights to Phu Quoc the most among Asia-Pacific tourist destinations.

Google's flight search engine Google Flights on October 7 announced a ranking of the 10 destinations that Vietnamese people searched for flights the most for the end of 2023, based on flight search data from mid-December 2023 to mid-January 2024 by users in the Asia- Pacific region.

The three destinations that Vietnamese people searched for flights the most were domestic destinations. Phu Quoc topped the list, followed by Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Another domestic destination on the list was Hanoi , which ranked 6th.

In addition to domestic destinations, Vietnamese people also search for flights abroad, mostly to destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. Bangkok, Thailand ranked fourth in the list. It was followed by Tokyo, Japan (5), Sydney, Australia (7), Singapore (8). The last two destinations in the list were Siem Reap, Cambodia (9) and New York, USA (10).

In the Asia-Pacific region rankings, Japan tops the list of most searched flights. Travelers from nine of the 12 countries surveyed chose Japan as their top destination. Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Okinawa and Fukuoka were the most searched cities.

Following Japan are Thailand and the US, in the top three destinations chosen by Asia-Pacific people as year-end holiday destinations.
