Attending the forum on the Vietnamese side were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai and representatives from various management units of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; on the Russian side were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksey Gruzdev, Mr. Kharinov Viacheslev, Head of the Trade Representative Office of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Mr. Myalo Vitaly, Deputy Head of the East and Southeast Asia Department, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation… The forum was also attended by researchers and businesses in the industrial and energy sectors of both countries.

In his opening remarks at the forum, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai informed that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation is developing very well. The Russian Federation is not only a reliable traditional partner but also a great friend that has accompanied Vietnam throughout the process of national construction and defense.
Entering a new era – an era of national progress – Vietnam has identified industrialization and modernization as its central task, with science, technology, and innovation as top national priorities. According to the orientation towards 2030, Vietnam expects the industrial sector to account for over 40% of GDP, with the processing and manufacturing industry representing approximately 30%.
" We are focusing on a strong shift in our growth model towards in-depth development, prioritizing the development of the energy industry, materials industry, mechanical engineering, and digital technology industry ," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
To realize these ambitious goals, in addition to its internal strength, Vietnam values international cooperation, especially with the Russian Federation, a superpower with a solid foundation in basic science and technology and leading-edge technology in the world .

At the forum, Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai highly appreciated the initiative to organize the event. “ With the large participation of managers, experts, scientists, and especially large enterprises such as Rosatom, Rusal, AlPharma... and Vietnamese corporations, I believe that the forum will not only stop at theoretical exchanges, but will open up opportunities for substantive and in-depth cooperation ,” Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai confidently stated.
In his welcoming remarks at the forum, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksey Gruzdev also emphasized the long-standing relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Since the late 1950s, the Soviet Union has made significant contributions to the formation of Vietnam's young independent state, especially in industry and technology.
" The forum serves as a driving force and a step forward in the development of deeper and broader relations between the two countries, coordinating the promotion of industry and technology between the two nations, " said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Deputy Minister Aleksey Gruzdev also stated that in the coming period, the Russian Federal Government will invest billions of dollars to support the development of industries such as motor truck manufacturing and a rapidly growing sector like high-tech manufacturing. In addition, the focus will be on achieving a 40% share of non-energy exports. “ By 2030, we aim to reach 90% industrial independence. The Russian Federation strives to become a leading country in high-tech industries ,” Deputy Minister Aleksey Gruzdev informed.
He also noted that the Russian Federation and Vietnam have much potential for joint development. With their good relations, he expressed confidence that the two countries will achieve many successes in the future.
The Vietnam-Russia Science Forum on Industrial, Technological and Innovation Promotion attracted the attention of many management units, scientists and businesses from both countries to discuss "hot" issues and suggest many possibilities for developing industrial, energy and trade cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
