Opening Ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2015 (Year of the Snake)

(CLO) On March 7th, at the Hanoi City Cultural and Exhibition Center, the Hanoi Journalists Association held the opening ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2025 with the theme "Journalism accompanies the Capital in its development, modernization, and civilization - rising in the new era" and awarded the Ngo Tat To Journalism Prize 2024.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, To Quang Phan, affirmed that the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025 is the opening activity in a series of events celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025) and looking forward to the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025)... of the press in the capital city and the Hanoi Journalists Association.

According to journalist To Quang Phan, 2025 holds special significance for the country and the capital city, with many important anniversaries. Journalists in the capital city pledge to unite and resolutely fulfill their assigned political tasks, placing absolute trust in the leadership of the Party; deeply imbued with the guiding ideology and major directions of the Party and General Secretary To Lam regarding the new era – the era of national progress; and the direction and guidance of the Hanoi City Party Committee in the construction and development of a cultured, civilized, and modern capital city.

Taking place over two days, March 7th and 8th, the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025 brought together 15 central and Hanoi-based press agencies, along with the participation of the Hanoi Library, showcasing representative publications about spring, the country, and the 95th anniversary of the Hanoi City Party Committee.

The press exhibition is designed with four display areas, showcasing milestones, documents, books, and photos commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee; modern journalistic methods; and typical spring and Tet (Lunar New Year) newspaper publications...

At the Press Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 43 outstanding works that participated in the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award 2024.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025.

The Special Prize was awarded to the print article "Thinking and Action in the Era of National Resurgence" by the team of authors Tran Quan, Tuan Dung, and Duc Van (Hanoi Security Newspaper).

In addition, three first prizes were awarded, including: the print newspaper article "Cadres are the foundation of all work" by the team of authors Hoang Thu Van, Thuy Tien, Van Thang, Ngoc Chung, Hoang Thanh (Economic & Urban Newspaper); the television program "People's helplessness against 'sand thieves' speaks out" by authors Tran Quoc An, Le Anh Tu (Hanoi Radio and Television Station); and the online newspaper article "Creating new breakthroughs to bring the country into an era of progress" by the team of authors Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Cu Xuan Truong, Van Thi Ngoc Thuy (Hanoi Moi Newspaper)...

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi and delegates visited the exhibition area of ​​press agencies.

On this occasion, the Hanoi Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to units and members who contributed to the success of the Hanoi Journalists Association's programs and activities in 2024; and commended athletes from the city's management agencies and press agencies who participated in and achieved high results at the 17th Vietnam Journalists Association Table Tennis Championship - Golden Star Cup.

Also at the program, the Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, To Quang Phan, called for and launched an emulation campaign to achieve outstanding results in chào mừng the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and other major national and capital city holidays to all members of affiliated journalist associations and branches.

According to the plan, at the end of the press festival, the Organizing Committee will award prizes for "Best Articles Written about Hanoi" and the most beautiful Spring Newspaper Cover. In particular, all published publications will be donated by the Organizing Committee to the Border Guard Command to be distributed to soldiers serving on the border and islands protecting national sovereignty.
