(CLO) On March 7th and 8th, the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025, with the theme "Journalism accompanies the Capital in its development, modernization, and civilization - rising in the new era," took place at the Hanoi Information and Exhibition Center (93 Dinh Tien Hoang, Hoan Kiem).
This is a traditional gathering of the capital's press, where central and Hanoi-based media agencies meet, exchange professional knowledge, and thereby promote responsibility, intellect, and dedication to contributing to the development of the capital and the revolutionary Vietnamese press.

The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025, organized by the Hanoi Journalists Association in coordination with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, is a political , cultural, and professional activity for journalists in the capital city and central news agencies, ministries, and sectors in the area. This year's event especially celebrates the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025) and looks forward to the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
According to To Quang Phan, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, the Spring Press Festival is organized to promote and encourage all levels, sectors, officials, Party members, and the people to enthusiastically compete in labor, study, and creativity, working together to successfully implement the 13th National Resolution of the Party and the 17th Resolution of the Hanoi City Party Committee; and to promote the dissemination of information about Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
This is also a place to encourage Hanoi's press, along with central press agencies, ministries, and departments, to continue publicizing the development achievements of the capital and the whole country in the fields of politics - economics, culture - society, security - defense, foreign affairs, etc.
The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Snake - Hanoi 2025 brings together 15 central and Hanoi-based press agencies, along with the participation of the Hanoi Library. Designed in four exhibition clusters, the Spring Press Festival introduces delegates and the public to milestones, documents, books, and photos commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee; modern journalistic methods; and typical spring and Tet (Lunar New Year) newspaper publications...
In particular, in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day and to affirm the innovation and development of Hanoi's press, participating media organizations will prepare elaborate and visually appealing displays highlighting the development process of their respective units. Through these displays, viewers will gain a better understanding of the history of each newspaper, type of journalism, and its contribution to Vietnamese journalism over the past century.
During the press festival, the public had the opportunity to visit, learn about, and contribute opinions on journalistic products, especially multimedia and digitally integrated journalistic products that the participating units had actively created, innovated, and implemented in the past and planned to develop in the future.
In addition, many in-depth cultural activities, technology exchanges in journalism, judging and awarding prizes for impressive Tet newspaper covers and excellent articles about Hanoi published in spring and Tet newspapers are organized during this period.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also summarized, evaluated, and honored the authors and groups of authors whose works won the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award in 2024. This also marks the 30th anniversary of the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award being organized by the Hanoi Journalists Association.
