Hanoi Journalists Association organizes exhibition "Hanoi develops - innovates"

This is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), organized by the Hanoi Journalists Association in coordination with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi Art Photography Association, and the Press Photography Club ( Vietnam Journalists Association ).

In his opening speech, journalist To Quang Phan, Editor-in-Chief of Citizen and Encouragement of Learning Magazine, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, emphasized that the exhibition “Hanoi develops - innovates - integrates” is a meaningful cultural and artistic activity for journalists and photographers, taking place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, with 70 works.

According to journalist To Quang Phan, the exhibition aims to inform and propagate the political , economic, cultural - social, security - defense and international foreign affairs tasks of the capital that are developing, innovating and integrating through photographic works.

This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce beautiful, artistic images to the public, contributing to building the culture and people of Hanoi into an elegant, civilized city, worthy of the title of the Capital of a Thousand Years of Culture, City for Peace, and Creative City.

The exhibition attracted 839 photos, including 760 single photos and 79 photo sets, by 207 authors from 8 provinces and cities, most of which were photos by members of the Journalists Association of provinces and cities; reporters from press agencies and photographers.

After 5 rounds of selection, 70 excellent works, including 13 photo series and 57 single photos, were exhibited. To encourage the creative spirit and professional activities of photographers and reporters, the Organizing Committee unanimously proposed to reward authors with excellent works.

The 70 works at the exhibition give viewers an overview of the innovation, development and deep integration of the Capital today. Not only reflecting a variety of current political, social, cultural and social activities, but also updating new images with valuable content and ideas, spreading beautiful images of the Capital to people across the country and international friends.

Viewers enjoy the photo exhibition.

The exhibition will run until October 13. The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony for outstanding works participating in the exhibition will take place at 9:30 a.m. on October 13, at the Hanoi City Information and Exhibition Center.
