Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and the Organizing Committee of the Festival offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square and Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan District before the opening of the Festival.
The 2024 Lotus Village Festival takes place with many exciting and meaningful activities concentrated in Vinh city, Nam Dan district. The flower offering ceremony, reporting achievements, and commemorating Uncle Ho. The Lotus Village Singing Festival with the participation of more than 600 artists and actors from 20 mass art troupes from districts, cities, and towns; Volleyball and traditional martial arts tournaments across the province; Marathon "Journey to Lotus Village" attracting thousands of domestic and foreign athletes to participate... will be an opportunity to introduce and further promote the image of the homeland and people of Nghe An .
The highlights of this year's Festival are the participation of the Music and Dance Theater with the Ceremonial Trumpet Orchestra and the Cavalry of the Ministry of Public Security in the Closing Art Program organized by Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Nghe An province with the theme "From Lotus Village to Ho Chi Minh City", the Street Performance Program with the theme "Homeland in Lotus Blooming Season". This will be an opportunity to introduce and promote to the whole country and international friends about Nghe An culture, about the land and people of Nghe An, dynamic, friendly, always open to opportunities for cooperation and development.
Immediately after the opening speech was the art program "Vietnamese Sun" directed by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Ministry of Public Security; directed by the Department of Culture, Sports of Nghe An, the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Nghe An Provincial Police. The performing units included: Nghe An Traditional Arts Center, People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater, and the People's Public Security Ceremonial Band.

The art program includes 3 chapters: Chapter I: Lotus blooming in the night sky, Chapter II: Vietnamese sun and Chapter III: The homeland sings forever about you.
This is an art program that bears a deep impression of the homeland's love for Uncle Ho and his love for his homeland and country. The desire for freedom, the noble sacrifice, dedicating his whole life to the country and the people. The program is a connection between songs and excerpts, folk songs and scenes of Vi and Giam performed continuously, both majestic and powerful but also subtle and profound, expressing the most sincere respect and affection for beloved Uncle Ho.
