Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Cinema Department, said that organizing this Film Week has practical significance, creating an additional beneficial cultural space for children to enjoy age-appropriate films during the summer.

Dr. Do Quoc Viet emphasized that, through the films selected for screening during the Film Week, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring children stories rich in human values, contributing to nurturing love for their homeland, family and friendship, solidarity, and a sense of striving for success in life.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Van Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, said that through educational films rich in humanistic and historical values, the Film Week aims to cultivate and promote patriotism, shape character, nurture souls and dreams, and awaken creativity in the younger generation. At the same time, this is also a practical activity to increase the dissemination of films serving political purposes, contributing to narrowing the gap in cultural enjoyment among the people, especially targeting children in remote areas, ethnic minority regions, mountainous areas, islands, and areas facing many difficulties.

The films screened during the Film Week include two theatrical films, produced by the Vietnam Film Department in collaboration with Sconnect Holdings Co., Ltd.: “Little Trang Quynh: The Legend of the Golden Bull” and “Wolfoo and the Race of the Three Realms”, and several animated films onthe FPT Play platform such as: “Try a Day as a Mother”, “The Mysterious Boxes”, “Wolfoo’s Dream”, “Lucy’s Speaker”, and “Wolfoo in the Conveyor Belt Restaurant”.

In addition to films distributed through digital platforms, the Vietnam Film Department organizes nationwide distribution of state-commissioned films, including 15 animated films from the Vietnam Animation Film Company (10 minutes/film): "The Chick's Father," "The Gecko Solves the Case," "The Dragonfly's House," "The Tall Guy," "Crocodile Tears," "The Red-Hatted Turtle," "The Golden Calf Knight Series" (3 episodes: "The Golden Calf Knight," "A Warm Home," "A Trip"), "The Red-Nosed Cat Warrior Series" (3 episodes: "The Red-Nosed Cat Warrior," "Red Nose in Love," "The Happy House"), "The Flying Snail Series" (3 episodes: "The Impulsive Lightning," "The Journey Home," "A Meaningful Summer Vacation"), and the feature film "Maika - The Girl from Another Planet" (produced by Binh Hanh Dan Co., Ltd.) to serve political, educational , and spiritual needs of children.

The films are screened nationwide. To ensure the intellectual property rights and commercial exploitation rights of the production company, these films are made available through the FPT Play platform and connected to a system of mobile film screening teams in provinces and cities across the country.

Specifically in Quang Ngai province - the host locality for the Film Week Opening Ceremony - in addition to the films shown within the framework of the Film Week, the Organizing Committee will also screen the animated film "Cricket: The Adventure to the Muddy Village" (produced by CinePlus Joint Stock Company) and the feature film "Flip Face 8: The Embrace of Sunshine" (produced by Ly Hai Production Co., Ltd.) for the local people and children.

Through the films selected for screening during the Film Week, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring children stories rich in human values, contributing to nurturing love for their homeland, family and friendship, solidarity, and a sense of striving for success in life.

In particular, besides live film screenings for local audiences, this year the Department of Cinema, in collaboration with FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play), is implementing a new form of film distribution on digital platforms. This contributes to expanding children's access to a rich and engaging range of films suitable for their age. This is also a new direction in film distribution and dissemination, serving political objectives and the public during the current digital transformation period.
