On May 10, in Hai Phong City, a ceremony will take place to announce the decision to recognize Hai Phong Railway Station as a tourist destination and to launch the Hoa Phuong Do train.
The train consists of 20 new, luxuriously designed carriages, including 2 VIP carriages, offering a high-class experience to passengers on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway route.
According to Director of Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch - Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company Tran Van Hanh, the train is equipped with modern and convenient facilities with the highlight being two VIP cars with 16 sofa seats, 5 sets of 20-seat sofas arranged in three different spaces.

In particular, the luxurious interior design includes natural wood flooring, free WiFi, a bar serving free drinks, live musicians...
The remaining cars have plastic floors with 56 seats that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing passengers to conveniently choose a position to enjoy the scenery along the journey.
In addition, the new train cars are equipped with semi-automatic doors and electronic boards displaying the train's location and speed. The hand-washing area is spacious. The toilets are modern and clean. The floor is paved with plastic carpets and the car walls are covered with marble-patterned plastic with luxurious colors.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that the recognition of Hai Phong Railway Station as a tourist destination and the opening of the Hoa Phuong Do train have great significance for the city's tourism industry. At the same time, it is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Hoa Phuong Do Festival - Hai Phong 2025.
According to Ms. Mai, with its ancient French architecture, Hai Phong station is not only a transport transit point but also a work with deep historical, cultural and artistic values associated with the formation and development of the port city.
This is a worthy recognition for a heritage that preserves the historical and cultural imprints of the city, affirming that Hai Phong station is not only a place to pick up and drop off train passengers but will also be a cultural and tourist destination, the starting point for the journey to discover the beauty and culinary quintessence of the city of red phoenix flowers, together with the goal of awakening the tourism potential imbued with the culture and identity of the port city by rail, opening up a new direction in the future.

According to the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, on May 10, the Hoa Phuong Do train will operate two trips from Hai Phong to Hanoi, LP6 departing from Hai Phong station at 9:10 a.m. and HP2 departing from Hai Phong station at 6:40 p.m. In the opposite direction, the LP5 train will depart from Hanoi station at 3:15 p.m.
The listed price for VIP class (34-seat cabin) at the beginning of the week is 250,000 VND/ticket; at the end of the week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) is 300,000 VND/ticket.
First class ticket (56-seat compartment) is 150,000 VND/ticket at the beginning of the week; weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) is 180,000 VND/ticket.
Economy class ticket (64-seat cabin) is 105,000 VND/ticket at the beginning of the week; weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) is 130,000 VND/ticket.
In particular, to celebrate the opening of the Hoa Phuong Do train and towards the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), from May 10 to 18, the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company will reduce 10% of ticket prices for all passengers traveling on trains HP1/2; LP2/3; LP5/6; LP7/8 on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route.
