Delegates attended the opening ceremony of the Depot at Tan Cang - Moc Bai dry port.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Phung Ngoc Minh - Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation said that with its location on the Trans-Asia economic corridor, Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone is the largest key land border gate economic zone in the country, located on the southern corridor of the Mekong Sub-region, connecting Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) with Phnom Penh (capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia) and Bangkok (capital of Thailand), Moc Bai can become an important transit point connecting the production chain between the Southeast region with the Kingdom of Cambodia, ASEAN and the world.

Realizing the great potential for developing the border gate economy, on November 24, 2023, Tan Cang - Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for Tan Cang Moc Bai dry port. After more than 1 year of construction, today, phase 1 of the Tan Cang - Moc Bai dry port project was officially opened and put into operation, becoming the first centralized inspection location in Tay Ninh province to fully implement a package of logistics services, contributing to improving the efficiency of import and export activities, developing the border gate economy and trade between the two countries of Vietnam - Cambodia, taking on an important link, maintaining the smooth operation of the country's import and export supply chains.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Tan Cang Saigon Corporation, Colonel Phung Ngoc Minh requested Tan Cang - Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company to continue to strive to complete the infrastructure, procedures for applying for a code for centralized inspection of import and export goods outside the border gate and announce the dry port in the first quarter of 2025.

Mr. Bui Hai Duong - Director of Tan Cang - Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company said that Tan Cang - Moc Bai Depot was officially opened and put into operation with an area of over 2 hectares, with modern equipment and advanced management software system, synchronized with Saigon New Port Corporation.

Tan Cang – Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company will have synchronous policies and solutions for customers and shipping lines when using services at Depot to connect with factories, industrial parks, export processing zones and customers across the border in Cambodia.

In addition, the Company will also develop a plan to combine the transportation of goods from Tan Cang - Moc Bai port cluster to Cai Mep port clusters in Ho Chi Minh City area to reduce logistics costs for customers.
