Opening of the Cua Lo Tourism Season 2024

Comprising three parts: Returning to Nghe An, The New Colors of Cua Lo, and Cua Lo - Aspiration to Shine, the art program, imbued with the cultural essence of the sea, focuses on portraying and honoring the cultural and historical traditions and the rhythm of life of Cua Lo fishermen through traditional festivals, and affirming the strong growth and transformation of the coastal tourist city of Cua Lo over 30 years of construction and development.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long said: After 117 years of being a tourist destination and 30 years of development, Cua Lo town is gradually transforming, taking on the appearance of a bustling coastal tourist city, an ideal and attractive resort destination, with infrastructure capable of accommodating more than 30,000 visitors per day and night. In particular, it boasts many high-end tourism services, entertainment areas, and resorts, most notably Vinpearl Cua Hoi Resort, Cua Hoi Entertainment Park, and Ngu Island Ecotourism Area…

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province emphasized: The Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024 is an opportunity for Nghe An province to introduce and promote its unique tourism values, resources, and products to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally. This is also a concrete and practical activity that affirms the determination of the Party Committee, government, and people to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized province.

In addition to the spectacular fireworks display, this year's art program also features an artistic light show using hundreds of drones creating artistic formations in the air.

Cua Lo town is honored to receive the Decision recognizing the Yen Luong Temple Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

On this occasion, Cua Lo town also had the honor of receiving the Decision recognizing the Yen Luong Temple Festival in Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is a folk festival associated with the worship of the Four Holy Mothers and other benevolent deities of coastal residents; one of the most distinctive traditional festivals of Nghe An, showcasing many unique elements of coastal culture, passed down through hundreds of years.

Cua Lo Beach is renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in the North Central region of Vietnam. In 2023, Cua Lo town attracted over 3.6 million tourists; of which an estimated 1.256 million were overnight visitors; revenue from tourism and service activities reached approximately 3,562 billion VND.

In 2024, Cua Lo set a target of welcoming and serving 4.15 million tourists.

By this time, hotels and restaurants are ready to enter the new tourist season with renewed hope. The appearance of Cua Lo beach town has undergone many positive changes. Accordingly, to serve the people and tourists visiting the beach town, Cua Lo town has implemented many urban beautification projects with a budget of approximately 30 billion VND, from the local budget.

In 2024, Cua Lo aims to welcome and serve 4.15 million tourists, including 1.45 million overnight visitors; and achieve revenue of 4,200 billion VND from tourism and service activities.
