Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee.
Also attending were Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs; Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam .

In his opening speech, comrade Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Director of the Press Center emphasized that the anniversary is a very special and important occasion for the country to review the heroic history, express deep gratitude to generations who sacrificed for national independence, for the unification and construction of the country.
At the same time, educate and foster the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity, the desire for peace, the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, and national pride; affirm the determination of our entire Party, people, and army in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Activities to celebrate this important event also contribute to arousing and fostering our people's trust in our Party and in the cause of national renewal, creating unity within the Party and social consensus in effectively implementing the Party's policies, decisions and guidelines and the State's policies and laws.
Thereby, encouraging and motivating the entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, grasp opportunities and chances to resolutely fulfill the goals and tasks of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, bringing the country into a new era - the era of strong, prosperous development of the Vietnamese nation.

Regarding the activities of the Press Center, comrade Le Hai Binh said that the Center will be the place to organize, manage and guide press activities related to the Anniversary for nearly 1,550 reporters and editors from more than 200 domestic and foreign press agencies. This is the largest number of reporters and press agencies among the Press Centers ever established.
At the same time, this is also the place to provide information about the activities of the Anniversary to serve the work of reporters, handling all requests for press activities of reporters. "Press information work will contribute significantly to the overall success of the 80th National Day Anniversary. The Center will create all favorable conditions for domestic and international reporters to report on the Anniversary," affirmed comrade Le Hai Binh.
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will be attended by high-ranking delegations from 6 countries: Belarus, Cambodia, Cuba, Laos, Russia and China. Along with that, there has been confirmation from more than 20 political party delegations and 8 Defense Ministry delegations of these countries about attending Vietnam's anniversary.
There are 6 forces participating in the parade and marching in the Anniversary Ceremony, including: Traditional Torch Bearing Force and Fire Guard; Ceremonial Artillery Force; Air Force flying salute; Parade and marching force; Background force and Formation and Letter Formation Force.
The parade force includes 4 Honor Guards; 43 groups representing the people's armed forces (26 Army groups, 17 Police groups); foreign military groups (expected 4 groups), including: China, Russia, Laos, Cambodia; Military vehicles, artillery, special police vehicles; Sea parade force; 12 mass parade groups; 1 Culture and Sports group.
