Visiting the exhibition area “History and mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly”, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the careful preparation, responsibility and initiative of the National Assembly Office and related units, especially the staff on duty and explaining at the exhibition.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai requested the National Assembly Office and other units to continue to coordinate and ensure the organization of the exhibition until the end of the exhibition. The exhibition booth needs to create a good impression on voters and people, contributing to spreading awareness of the role of the National Assembly - the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The exhibition “History and Mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly” recreates 80 years of development of the National Assembly through the language of architecture and modern technology. Inspired by three concentric circles, the exhibition space symbolizes the strength of national unity, where the Party's will, the people's will and the National Assembly's mission converge.
Specifically, the central circle includes "National Founding Mark - Aspiration for Democracy", originating from the 1946 General Election, the 1946 Constitution and the image of President Ho Chi Minh and the 1st National Assembly.
Middle circle: “The source of development - Creation and expansion”, outlines important policies that form the foundation for national development.
Outer circle: “Global mission - Raising status”, affirming the role and position of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the international arena.
The exhibition also introduces many valuable artifacts and documents such as: The National Flag at the Tan Trao National Congress (1945); President Ho Chi Minh's speech at the 1st National Assembly; the 1946 Constitution - the first Constitution; ballot boxes for the 1st National Assembly (January 6, 1946); issues of the National Assembly daily newspaper published from December 17, 1945 to January 6, 1946; memorabilia of the Chairmen of the National Assembly of each term.
After visiting the exhibition booth on the history of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai continued to visit the thematic exhibition areas in the program "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", including: Exhibition "95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way"; outdoor exhibition area of the Ministry of National Defense; exhibition area of Da Nang city with the theme "New Da Nang - New Experience" and many other thematic booths.
The exhibition is a political and cultural event of special significance, contributing to affirming the role and historical mission of the Vietnamese National Assembly during 80 years of accompanying the nation.
