Over the past decades, the system of documents on the Party's history has become increasingly rich.
Some of the elaborate books include: Chronicle of historical events of the Communist Party of Vietnam (7 volumes), History textbook of the Communist Party of Vietnam used in university teaching, or recently the e-book series “Vietnam in the Ho Chi Minh era – Television Chronicle”. These works have affirmed their important position in researching, teaching and propagating the Party’s history.
However, to bring history closer to the public, especially the younger generation, the form of transmission also needs to be constantly innovated, more vivid and attractive, avoiding falling into dryness and academicism.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Product Director of VCCorp/Admicro - the unit implementing book technology, this type of book has appeared in many countries around the world , but has never appeared in Vietnam. With the characteristic of requiring 3 devices: book, projector and sensor, books are especially suitable for exhibition spaces. And with diverse, flexible and unique display capabilities, books are especially effective in conveying historical content that often feels dry.
“ For the general public, history is often dry. Especially for the younger generation, their content consumption habits are also different, often fast and not in-depth. Creating the experience of reading, viewing and interacting with the content is the way that the Party's history can reach the people, especially the young, in a way that they will not feel that the Party is far away but see the Party close in the country's achievements and is always new, can be expressed by technology, especially in the new era of the country ", said Mr. Khanh.
The Party Chronicle series consists of 6 volumes. Volume 1 begins with the 1st Party Congress in Macau, with content including the 1st General Secretaries, notable events such as the establishment of the Vietnam Independence League, the establishment of the Propaganda Liberation Army, the general uprising, President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence and the resistance war against France, in the form of icons.
With each icon, viewers can touch their finger to make the projector display more detailed information, images, and articles directly on the book page. The book also displays a QR code for readers to scan with their phones and go to related official document pages to learn related information. Along with that are photo albums, showing the Party's historical milestones, from Macau, to the Viet Bac resistance base, to Ba Dinh Square.

In similar style and features, volume 2 presents the period of the Second and Third Congresses of the Party; volume 3: the Fourth and Fifth Congresses; volume 4: the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Congresses; volume 5: the IX and X Congresses; volume 6: the XI, XII and XIII Congresses.
With more than 300 official documentary images, of which nearly 100 are presented in infographic format, the book series recreates the 95-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with historical milestones, key tasks, major policies and turning-point decisions, closely linked to each step forward of the entire nation, in a seamless, vivid and impressive way.
Talking to Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh said: although this is the first time this type of interactive book has been deployed, he and his colleagues have completely mastered this technology, so the technology deployment process is very fast, from selecting and implementing effects, book construction and programming. However, due to the high requirements for liveliness, the animation part takes a lot of time. And the most important and time-consuming part is coordinating with Nhan Dan Newspaper to ensure the accuracy of historical content.
“The most difficult thing is that the time is quite tight, the content needs to be reviewed many times. If we had more time, we could be more creative, the book would be more impressive. As for technology, it is not a big problem. We have mastered the technology, so the product is guaranteed,” Mr. Khanh shared.

To date, the Party history book series has completed the acceptance process, in terms of content, art and technology. The book will be introduced at the National Achievements Exhibition, opening from August 28 at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi.
Party history education has always been one of the key tasks of ideological and cultural work. Because understanding the traditions, revolutionary path and important historical milestones not only helps cadres and party members improve their political capacity but also contributes to fostering confidence, pride and civic responsibility towards the Fatherland.
And by introducing a new, interactive form of history book, giving the audience the feeling of "touching history with their fingers", the book "Party Chronicles" will certainly create great attraction for the public visiting the Exhibition 95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way, especially young audiences.
