Having a burning passion for bamboo, from just making bicycle frames, in 2018, Mr. Tan decided to try his hand at making giant animal models with extremely high sophistication and meticulousness.

At Mr. Tan's production facility, many people will witness familiar animals with their own eyes, such as fireflies magnified 1,000 times or flying fish that are realistic to every detail.

The giant crab was crafted from bamboo by Mr. Vo Tan Tan and his team.

"To evoke emotions in viewers, the proportions must be accurate. The most important thing is to keep the bamboo color, so that when people look at it, they can recognize it as bamboo...", said Mr. Tan.

Initially, when making large models, he encountered many difficulties in stages such as finding the right proportions, suitable bamboo materials, and methods of connecting parts...

With perseverance, he researched and succeeded in finding the secret to making the model come to life. In the past 6 years, he has created many "huge" models, such as a 2.25m tall crab, a 4m long shrimp, a 2.5m tall mantis...

Knowing his skillful craftsmanship in making animals from bamboo, a museum in France on fine arts and crafts commissioned him to make a large animal to display. Currently, Mr. Tan is making a 4m long, 2m high flying phoenix.

Mr. Tan said that depending on the customer's requirements and the difficulty, each model will take different completion times, on average from 2 to 3 months. Each model costs around 100 million VND/product.
