- Minister Luong Tam Quang offers incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh.
The monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh, themed "Uncle Ho Visits His Homeland," is located within the grounds of the special national historical site of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.

This is a place with a banyan tree, a well, and a village communal house, known as Lang Sen (Lotus Village). It was the place where President Ho Chi Minh visited twice, in 1957 and 1961, the birthplace and place where he lived from his childhood.
During his visits to his hometown, Uncle Ho met and chatted intimately with the villagers; reminisced about the past with the elders; affectionately interacted with children; and kindly advised the Party committees, government, mass organizations, and the people.

The monument "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" was constructed urgently and meticulously over a period of two years. The statue was cast based on the original photograph taken during Uncle Ho's second visit to his hometown in 1961. The statue, including the pedestal and the statue itself, has a total height of 12.5 meters; the statue itself is 8.3 meters tall and weighs 6 tons, made of hydraulically pressed bronze.

The statue faces north, with a lotus pond in front and a model of a mountain behind, symbolizing the landscape of the homeland.
This is a gift from the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry and the Ministry of Public Security to the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghe An province on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" monument on May 15th, Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry, and Deputy Minister of Public Security, stated that the project has immense and profound political and cultural significance, aiming to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, the brilliant leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people; a national liberation hero, a world cultural figure, an exemplary communist soldier, and the beloved father of the Vietnamese armed forces.

Throughout his life, President Ho Chi Minh always showed special affection and gave thoughtful guidance to the People's Public Security Force. He left behind many invaluable legacies for the People's Public Security Force, with profound theoretical and practical significance, most notably "Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security Force".
This serves as a guiding principle and a powerful driving force for generations of police officers and soldiers to resolutely strive to excellently fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the People; to firmly protect national security, ensure social order and safety, and make a significant contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

General Tran Quoc To emphasized that the "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" monument carries profound political and cultural significance, expressing the gratitude of the Party, the State, the people, and the People's Public Security Force towards President Ho Chi Minh.
This is not only a symbolic structure with profound historical and humanistic value, but also a distinctive and exemplary cultural and architectural work; it has become a significant landmark, an impressive destination attracting numerous compatriots, comrades, and domestic and foreign tourists to visit, pay respects, express gratitude, and learn.

The monument "Uncle Ho Visiting His Hometown" in Lang Sen Village not only aims to recreate a historical image, but also serves as a sacred symbol expressing the national principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," as well as the profound affection of the People's Public Security Force and the entire nation for the infinitely beloved Uncle Ho.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, also added that from now on, the complex of Lang Sen and the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site will have an extremely meaningful addition. The presence of the statue makes everyone feel as if Uncle Ho is still with them every day, with his boundless love and sacred affection for his homeland, "a deep and profound bond."

The monument aims to remind every citizen of Nghe An to always remember and continue to strive harder to fulfill President Ho Chi Minh's wish: "I earnestly hope that the people and comrades of the province will strive to make Nghe An one of the most prosperous provinces in the North soon."
