(To Quoc) - Viewed from above, Ha Lien village appears as an oasis amidst the aquaculture ponds in Nha Phu lagoon, Khanh Hoa province, attracting much attention from tourists.

For nearly a month now, Ha Lien village (now Ha Lien residential area, Ninh Ha Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province) has become famous on social media. In the aerial photograph, the village appears like an oasis, standing out amidst the aquaculture ponds in Nha Phu lagoon, creating a picturesque scene that attracts many locals and tourists from other areas to visit.

Ha Lien Village, covering approximately 2 hectares, is located about 6 km southeast of Ninh Hoa town center and about 30 km north of Nha Trang city, situated at the mouth of a river bordering the sea and Hon Heo mountain. According to local residents, the village has a long history, dating back over 370 years to the Nguyen Dynasty.

Viewed from above, Ha Lien village stands out with its rows of houses, bright red tiled roofs, mostly single-story buildings. There is only one concrete road leading into the village.

In the village, there are small alleys, and motorbikes are often parked in the shared pathways.

The land here is mainly mangrove mud and acidic soil, interspersed with alluvial sandbanks, forming mangrove forests with Avicennia trees, where seafood such as shrimp, crab, and brackish water fish are farmed for export.
The village has 330 households with over 1,200 inhabitants, who mainly live by farming and fishing in Nha Phu lagoon.

Because the area is surrounded by water, people mainly travel by boat. Those who can afford it will use motorboats, otherwise they use boats powered by human labor.

Every day, locals go out in boats to check on their crab and sea worm ponds, or to harvest various types of seafood.

Ms. Huynh Thi Loi, 91 years old, said that she still takes walks around the village every day and feels happy that the village is becoming more well-known. "More visitors will help the villagers sell more shrimp and fish," Ms. Loi said.

According to representatives of travel businesses, Ha Lien village has the potential to develop an ecotourism model suitable for tourists who enjoy exploration, forming recreational tours such as rowing boats to Nha Phu lagoon to catch crabs, fishing, and sightseeing.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Ha Ward, also assessed that Ha Lien village has great potential for tourism development, with its unique location, many beautiful scenic spots, and diverse marine ecosystem. "Currently, the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa Town is promoting tourism development in the Nha Phu lagoon area, including Ha Lien village," Mr. Nhat informed.
